This research has the objective of study the local wisdom of treating patient bone disease of patients and oil medicine succession of treating patient bone disease of patients in Amphur Borabue Mahasarakham Province. The research area Bandaengnoi Bannadee and Bandongkheng, This research used qualitative research methods, with important research techniques, including interviews observation and group discussion with 25 key informants, Then analyze the data to presentation information descriptive.

The research results found that the local wisdom of treating patient bone disease of patients in Amphur Borabue Mahasarakham Province area Bandaengnoi Bannadee and Bandongkheng. is a treatment to traditional medicine by leading local wisdom of treating patient bone disease in the past, which has oil medicine is to have role treatment. งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นด้านการรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคกระดูก และหมอน้ำมันรวมถึงการสืบทอดการรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคกระดูกในพื้นที่อำเภอบรบือ จังหวัดมหาสารคาม พื้นที่วิจัย บ้านแดงน้อย ตำบลกำพี้ บ้านนาดี ตำบลบรบือ และบ้านดงเค็ง ตำบลบ่อใหญ่ เป็นการศึกษาเชิงคุณภาพ ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์ การสังเกต และการสนทนากลุ่ม ผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญจำนวน 25 คน แล้วนำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์และนำเสนอข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนา

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นด้านการรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคกระดูกในพื้นที่อำเภอบรบือ จังหวัดมหาสารคาม ในพื้นที่บ้านแดงน้อย บ้านนาดี และบ้านดงเค็ง เป็นการรักษาด้วยการแพทย์พื้นบ้าน โดยนำภูมิปัญญาการรักษาโรคกระดูกในอดีตที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งมีหมอน้ำมันเป็นผู้มีบทบาทในการรักษา ในเวลาต่อมา เมื่อมีการแพทย์สมัยใหม่เข้ามา ที่เป็นพลวัตภูมิปัญญาการรักษาโรคกระดูกในปัจจุบัน จึงได้มีการผสมผสานรูปแบบการรักษาโรคกระดูกด้วยการแพทย์พื้นบ้านร่วมมือกับการแพทย์สมัยใหม่เพื่อการรักษาด้วยกัน

หมอน้ำมันรวมถึงการสืบทอดการรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคกระดูกในพื้นที่อำเภอบรบือ จังหวัดมหาสารคาม โดยมีหมอน้ำมันบ้านแดงน้อย คือ พ่ออาน รักธรรม บ้านนาดี คือ พ่อสุพรรณ ทับศรี และบ้านดงเค็ง คือ พ่อทัย แก้วคำกอง ซึ่งได้รับและวิธีการรักษาที่เหมือนกัน รวมการสืบทอดมาจากครูอาจารย์ผู้สอนแตกต่างกัน ซึ่งบ้านแดงน้อย สืบทอดจากญาติของภรรยา บ้านนาดีสืบทอดจากคนที่ไม่รู้จักกันมาก่อน และบ้านดงเค็งสืบทอดมาจากบรรพบุรุษ สำหรับขั้นตอนการรักษา โดยมีการใช้น้ำมนต์และน้ำมันงาร่วมกับคาถาเหมือนกัน ในขณะที่ทำการรักษาผู้ป่วยจะต้องปฏิบัติตามข้อคะลำ เมื่อหายป่วยเป็นปกติแล้ว ผู้ป่วยต้องกลับมาทำพิธีปลงคาย โดยผู้เป็นหมอน้ำมันจะต้องไม่เรียกร้องค่ารักษา เพราะจะทำให้ผิดครูอาจารย์ผู้สอนที่เหมือนกัน
