The Action Research to Enhance Mathematics Problem Solving Ability of Mathayomsuksa 4 Students

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to improve mathematics problem solving ability of Mathayomsuksa 4 students at excellent level, the number of students at excellent level not less than 70 percent of the total number and all students passing the standard. The target group was 47 students of Mathayomsuksa 4/7 students in academic year 2017 from Sarakhampittayakhom School, Muang, Mahasarakham. The research methodology is classroom action research which compose of three cycles. The research tools consisted of 1) lesson plans to enhance mathematics problem solving ability, 2) mathematics problem solving ability test, 3) the observation form, 4) the interview. The data was analyzed by using mean, percentage, and standard deviation.

The result was follow

Mathematics problem solving ability of Mathayomsuksa students after learning with lesson plans to enhance mathematics problem solving ability of conic section. The numbers of students in the first cycle who was the excellent level at 6 accounted for 12.77% and students passing the standard was 43, the second cycle were 26 accounted for 55.32% and students passing the standard was 45 and the third cycle were 35 accounted for 74.47% and students passing the standard was 47.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 ให้อยู่ในระดับดีมาก ไม่น้อยกว่าร้อยละ 70 ของจำนวนนักเรียนทั้งหมดและนักเรียนทุกคนผ่านเกณฑ์ กลุ่มเป้าหมายที่ใช้ในการวิจัยในครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ นักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4/7 โรงเรียนสารคามพิทยาคม อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดมหาสารคามภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 25560 จำนวน 47 คน รูปแบบการวิจัย คือ การวิจัยเชิงปฏิบัติการ (Action Research) ซึ่งประกอบด้วย 3 วงจรปฏิบัติการ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ 1) แผนการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ที่ส่งเสริมความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์ 2) แบบทดสอบวัดความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์ 3) แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมนักเรียน 4) แบบสัมภาษณ์นักเรียน สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ได้แก่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการวิจัยปรากฏดังนี้

ความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 หลังจากที่ได้รับการเรียนรู้ที่ส่งเสริมความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์ เรื่อง ภาคตัดกรวย โดยมีกลุ่มเป้าหมายทั้งหมดจำนวน 47 คน ในวงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 1 มีนักเรียนที่มีคะแนนความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับดีมาก จำนวน 6 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 12.77 และมีนักเรียนที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ จำนวน 43 คน วงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 2 มีนักเรียนที่มีคะแนนความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับดีมาก จำนวน 26 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 55.32 และมีนักเรียนที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ จำนวน 45 คน และวงจรปฏิบัติการที่ 3 มีนักเรียนที่มีคะแนนความสามารถในการแก้โจทย์ปัญหาคณิตศาสตร์อยู่ในระดับดีมาก จำนวน 35 คน คิดเป็นร้อยละ 74.47 และมีนักเรียนที่ผ่านเกณฑ์ จำนวน 47 คน
