The Calm Atmosphere of the City

Abstract

The visual arts creation thesis entitled The Calm Atmosphere of the City was inspired by the time of the atmosphere of the city. This study aimed to study urbanism, and the changes in residential areas and China, and create visual arts,focus on city landscapes. The scope of conceptual creation of the study was creation express the calm atmosphere of the city.The forms of the creation work included impressionistic paintings and the techniques were creation of oil paintings on canvas. This creative work was conducted by the data collected from the conditions of the environment, the data from documents and the data about the creation of related visual arts. There were 4 artistic works with unique characteristics.The results of the study and creation revealed that Through the static moment of the city, the work reflects the calm that is often ignored in modern cities, making people feel inner peace and reflection.In conclusion, The calm urban atmosphere is not only the visual static on the surface, but also contains the reflection on modern life, the relationship between man and nature, and the deep expression of time and space.
