Background and Significance: Adolescence is a critical period of human development when physical, emotional, and psychological changes occur. Life’s problems, such as family, societal, and educational expectations, can cause depression in adolescents who lack resilience and are unable to adapt and cope. Objective: To study the effect of a Resilience and Coping Intervention (RCI) on reducing depression in senior high school students. Methods: The study uses a quasi-experimental, pre-post-intervention design. The research population is high school students aged 15–18 years in one northeastern province in Thailand. The sample of 84 students was assigned to either an experimental group (n = 42) to participate in the RCI intervention for 3 weeks or a control group (n = 42) for usual care (the school’s regular support program). In addition to demographic characteristics, the Thai versions of the Patient Health Questionnaire for Adolescents (PHQ-A) to measure depression and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (10-Item CD-RISC) were used to collect data at the pre-intervention baseline, upon completion of the program, and one month post intervention. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way repeated measures ANOVA, and multiple comparisons of Bonferroni were used for data analysis.   Results: The depression scores of students in the experimental group upon completion of the program were significantly lower than at baseline (p < .01) and significantly lower than those in the control group (p < .05). The resilience scores of students in the experimental group upon completion of the program were significantly higher than at baseline and significantly higher than those in the control group (p < .05). However, neither depression nor resilience scores differed significantly from baseline one month upon completion of the program. Conclusion: Although the program provided improvement in depression and resilience, the 3-week program did not provide lasting relief for the high school students.en
