The Transmission of Mangkala in Institutions of Higher Education in Accordance with Folk Philosophers in the Lower Northern of Thailand

Abstract

This research entitled The Transmission of Mangkala in Institutions of Higher Education in accordance with Folk Philosophers in the Lower Northern of Thailand aimed to 1) study how folk philosophers in the lower north region transmitted Mangkala; 2) study how folk philosophers in the lower north region have instructed Mangkala performance; and 3) form introductory Mangkala instruction kits for institutions of higher education, using the ethnomusicology research methodology experienced by Mangkala specialists in three provinces : Lung Tao Band- Phitsanulok, Ratchaphreuk Band- Sukhothai, and Gorngkho Band- Uttradit. This qualitative research was conducted with the purposive random sampling. The findings revealed that 1. The transmission of Mangkala by the three bands was an introduction to learn and practice. Also, before starting the lesson they must pay homage to sacred things or instructors. This traditional transmission has three main parts : 1) Procedure, 2) History, and 3) Rituals 2. The Mangkala instruction has been an original method to enhance simple and accurate understanding in accordance with folk philosophers of each province. There are four steps to follow this method: 1) Lesson preparation, 2) Instruction, 3) Performance evaluation, and 4) Practice. At the first step, lesson preparation, it can be said that learners are required to have a strong interest in Mangkala. 3. The formation of introductory Mangkala instruction kits for institutions of higher education was decoded from the traditional instruction of Mangkala specialists to original instruction kits. In addition, the melody system can be used to create how to perform Mangkala. To develop the instruction of Mangkala properly for institutions of higher education, Mangkala instruction kits have to be evaluated and certified by the 3 Mangkala specialists. Each of the Mangkala instruction kits contains content, direction, content card, activity card, test card, score form, and after-learning score form.

การวิจัยเรื่องการ สืบทอดมังคละในสถาบันอุดมศึกษาตามวิถีปราชญ์ชาวบ้านในภาคเหนือตอนล่าง เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาวิธีการสืบทอดดนตรีมังคละตามวิถีของปราชญ์ชาวบ้านในภาคเหนือตอนล่าง 2) ศึกษาวิธีการสอนมังคละตามวิถีของปราชญ์ชาวบ้านในภาคเหนือตอนล่าง 3) สร้างชุดการสอนดนตรีมังคละเบื้องต้นสำหรับสถาบันอุดมศึกษาโดยใช้ระเบียบวิจัยทางมานุษยวิทยาการดนตรีจากปราชญ์มังคละใน 3 จังหวัดได้แก่ วงลุงเต้าจังหวัดพิษณุโลก วง ศ.ราชพฤกษ์จังหวัดสุโขทัย และวงกองโคจังหวัดอุตรดิตถ์ ใช้การสุ่มกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1. การสืบทอดดนตรีมังคละของทั้ง 3 วง เป็นขั้นตอนในการนำไปสู่การบรรเลงดนตรีมังคละและการสอนมังคละเพื่อให้มีความเคารพต่อครูผู้สอน หรือสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ก่อนที่จะเข้าไปสู่ขั้นการเรียนรู้ดนตรีมังคละ ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วย 1) กระบวนการสืบทอด 2) ประวัติการสืบทอด 3) การสืบทอดพิธีกรรม 2. การเรียนการสอนดนตรีมังคละ เป็นขั้นตอนที่ใช้ในการสอนมังคละในแบบดั้งเดิมเพื่อให้เข้าใจในการเรียนได้ง่ายและถูกต้องตามวิถีของปราชญ์ของแต่ละพื้นที่ซึ่งประกอบด้วย 1) ขั้นเตรียมการสอน 2) ขั้นสอน 3)ขั้นตอนการวัดผลดนตรีมังคละ 4) ขั้นตอนการปฏิบัติเครื่องดนตรี ขั้นเตรียมการสอนพบว่าทั้ง 3 วง ผู้เรียนต้องมีความสนใจในดนตรีมังคละ สมัครใจที่จะเรียน 3. การสร้างชุดการสอนดนตรีมังคละเบื้องต้นสำหรับสถาบันอุดมศึกษา ใช้วิธีการถอดวิธีการสอนจากปราชญ์มังคละ เพื่อสร้างชุดการสอนแบบดั้งเดิมและการใช้ระบบของโน้ตสากลในการสร้างวิธีการเรียนรู้ดนตรีมังคละ ในการพัฒนาการเรียนรู้ดนตรีมังคละ โดยใช้การประเมินชุดการสอนจากคำรับรองจากปราชญ์มังคละทั้ง 3 วง เพื่อใช้ในการสอนดนตรีมังคละในระดับอุดมศึกษาได้อย่างถูกต้อง ซึ่งชุดการสอนมังคละประกอบด้วย เนื้อหา, คำชี้แจง, บัตรเนื้อหา, บัตรกิจกรรม, บัตรทดสอบ, แบบบันทึกคะแนนก่อนเรียน, และ แบบบันทึกคะแนนหลังเรียน
