Traditional Dynamics of Song Ku Bua Mat, Bua Mat Sub-District, Borabue District, Mahasarakham Province

Abstract

This thesis is a qualitative study which aimed at investigating meaning and importance of Ku Bua Mat for Bua Mat Sub-District community area and traditional dynamics of Song Ku Bua Mat located in Bua Mat Sub-District, Borabue District, Mahasarakahm Province. Data were collected from documents and field data, including interviews, focus group discussion and in-depth interview with 35 samples together with an observation of Song Ku Bua Mat tradition. Data were analyzed and presented in the form of descriptive analysis.

The findings indicated that a total of nine communities gave importance to the traditional dynamics of Song Ku Bua Mat for the aspect of lifestyle following traditional principles which was merit making in the fifth month. The tradition of Song Ku Bua Mat played two important roles in Bua Mat Sub-District community, including meaning and importance for Bua Mat Sub-District community which was organized on the 15th day of the 5th waxing moon each year, and the relationship between the traditional dynamics of Song Ku Bua Mat of Bua Mat Sub-District community and the Twelve Annual Festival of Isan people observed one per month which was scheduled for tradition of the 5th Lunar Month of the nine communities. There was the water ritual of Narayana installed from the national museum in Khon Kaen Province. With regard to the sacrifice ritual, the Brahmins were invited from Bureau of the Royal House together with Buddhist rituals, including sacrificial dance, waxing and rocket shooting for gulping. The guidelines for organizing Song Ku Mat tradition involved management of Song Ku Bua Mat tradition, management of waxing, management of rituals, management of tourism of community economy and management of landscape. These guidelines involved cooperation among community, government and private sectors.

งานวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความหมายและความสำคัญของกู่บัวมาศที่มีต่อชุมชนตำบลบัวมาศและเพื่อศึกษาพลวัตประเพณีสรงกู่บัวมาศ ตำบลบัวมาศ อำเภอบรบือ จังหวัดมหาสารคาม เป็นการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ มีวิธีดำเนินการวิจัยโดยศึกษาข้อมูลจากเอกสารและข้อมูลภาคสนาม แบบสัมภาษณ์ การสนทนากลุ่ม การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 35 รูป/คน รวมถึงการสังเกตประเพณีสรงกู่บัวมาศ นำข้อมูลมาวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาแล้วนำเสนอเชิงพรรณนาวิเคราะห์

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า พลวัตประเพณีสรงกู่บัวมาศ โดยมีชุมชนจำนวน 9 แห่ง ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับการสรงกู่บัวมาศด้านมีวิถีชีวิตตามแบบคติดั้งเดิม ซึ่งมีความสำคัญเกี่ยวข้องกับกู่บัวมาศคือ ประเพณีบุญเดือน 5 ประเพณีการสรงกู่บัวมาศที่มีต่อชุมชนตำบลบัวมาศ แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ส่วนคือ 1) ความหมายและความสำคัญของกู่บัวมาศที่มีต่อชุมชน ตำบลบัวมาศ ที่ได้จัดขึ้นในวันเพ็ญ ขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน 5 ของทุกปี และ 2) พลวัตประเพณีสรงกู่บัวมาศของชุมชนตำบลบัวมาศ ซึ่งมีความสัมพันธ์กับฮีตสิบสองของชาวอีสานคือ ช่วงเวลาของการจัดประเพณีบุญเดือน 5 ของชุมชนทั้ง 9 แห่ง โดยมีพิธีกรรมสรงน้ำองค์พระนารายณ์ ที่ได้อันเชิญมาจากพิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติ จังหวัดขอนแก่น สำหรับพิธีบวงสรวงได้เชิญพราหมณ์มาจากสำนักพระราชวังกรุงเทพมหานคร ร่วมกับพิธีกรรมทางพระพุทธศาสนา มีการรำบวงสรวง การบนบาน และการจุดบั้งไฟเสี่ยงทาย สำหรับแนวทางการจัดการประเพณีสรงกู่บัวมาศ แบ่งออกเป็น 5 ส่วนคือ แนวทางการจัดการประเพณีสรงกู่บัวมาศ แนวทางการจัดการด้านการบนบาน แนวทางการจัดการ ด้านพิธีกรรม แนวทางการจัดการด้านการท่องเที่ยวและเศรษฐกิจชุมชน และแนวทางการจัดการด้านภูมิทัศน์ ซึ่งแนวทางการจัดการทั้งหมดควรมีส่วนร่วมกับหน่วยงานทั้งในระดับชุมชน ภาครัฐ และเอกชน
