The Integration of Local Wisdoms with the Creation of Learning Innovations in the Course ‘Buddhism’ of the Lower Secondary School Students in Educational Opportunity Expansion Schools, Thailand

Abstract

This research aims (1) to investigate the local wisdoms in the communities of the educational opportunity expansion schools under the Office of Ubon Ratchathani Secondary Educational Service Area 3, Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand, that can be used into the course ‘Buddhism’ for the lower secondary school students; (2) to synthesize the integration of the learning management in the course ‘Buddhism’ with the aforesaid local wisdoms; (3) to develop the learning management innovation to support the learning management of the course; (4) to study the student satisfaction with the learning management as mentioned. The target group of this study included 10 of religious leaders and local philosophers; 10 supporters including community leaders and educational administrators; 5 teachers and 200 students in the studied area, selected by purposive sampling. The research tools are (1) an in-depth interview form, (2) the learning management manual and (3) the satisfaction assessment form. The research result shows that within the Ubon Ratchathani Secondary Educational Service Area 3, there are five local wisdom including (1) ‘Sim’, (2) ‘Kalum’, (3) ‘Pha-Wed Cloth’, and (4) ‘Khun Mark Beng’ can be integrated with the curriculum of social studies, religion and culture at the interdisciplinary classroom level with learning innovation in the course ‘Buddhism’ called ‘SAAOL learning process’. The student satisfaction with the learning management was statistically at a highest level, meaning that they are very satisfied with the developed learning management in the course ‘Buddhism’.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นในเขตพื้นที่จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี บูรณาการการจัดการเรียนรู้วิชาพุทธศาสนากับภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นและสร้างนวัตกรรมการจัดการเรียนรู้วิชาพระพุทธศาสนาที่บูรณาการกับภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น กลุ่มเป้าหมายของการศึกษานี้ ประกอบด้วย กลุ่มผู้รู้ ประกอบด้วย ผู้นำทางศาสนาในท้องถิ่นและครูภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น กลุ่มผู้ปฏิบัติ ซึ่งประกอบด้วย ครูผู้สอนวิชาพระพุทธศาสนา กลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้สังคมศึกษา ศาสนาและวัฒนธรรมระดับมัธยมศึกษาตอนต้น โรงเรียนขยายโอกาสทางการศึกษา และกลุ่มผู้สนับสนุน ซึ่งประกอบด้วยผู้นำชุมชน จำนวน 5 คน และผู้บริหารสถานศึกษา ได้มาจากการเลือกแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง เครื่องมือการวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบสำรวจ แบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบสอบถาม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สํานักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาอุบลราชธานี เขต 3 จัดการศึกษาในพื้นที่อำเภอพิบูลมังสาหาร อำเภอศรีเมืองใหม่ อำเภอตาลสุม อำเภอสิรินธรและอำเภอโขงเจียม จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี มีภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่น 5 ภูมิปัญญา ได้แก่ สิม คะลำ ผ้าผะเหวด ขันหมากเบ็ง และวิสาหกิจชุมชน สามารถบูรณาการกับหลักสูตรกลุ่มสาระการเรียนรู้สังคมศึกษา ศาสนา และวัฒนธรรม สาระที่ 1 ศาสนา ศีลธรรมและจริยธรรมในระดับห้องเรียนสหวิทยาการ ด้วยนวัตกรรมการเรียนรู้ในรายวิชาพระพุทธศาสนาที่เรียกว่า กระบวนการจัดการเรียนรู้ SAAOL ความพึงพอใจของนักเรียนที่มีต่อการจัดการเรียนรู้อยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด
