The Status and Role of Male Characters in Yaoi Novels by Bacteria

Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to study the status and role of male characters in the novel Yaoi of bacteria. The researcher chose to analyze the protagonists with distinctive characteristics by studying the novel Yaoi of Bacteria, written by Bacteria, Naboo Publishing, a total of 14 stories and 17 volumes. The strategies for creating male characters in Yaoi novels of bacteria can be classified into two categories: 1) strategies for creating male characters through their personalities, 1.2) strategies for creating male characters through consumerism, and 1.3) strategies for creating male characters through space, and 2) strategies for creating male characters through sexuality, including 2.1) strategies for creating male characters through the body, 2.2) strategies for creating male characters through male-to-male relationships, and 2.3) strategies for creating male characters through sexual expression, and 2) status and roles of male characters in Yaoi novels of bacteria classified into 2 types: 1) Status and roles in the family: 1.1) Status and role of the father, 1.2) Status and role of husband, 1.3) Status and role of the salesman, and 1.4) Status and role of adult relatives, and category 2) Status and role in society, namely 2.1) Status and role in education, 2.2) Status and role in occupation. In conclusion, the male characters in the novel Yaoi of Bacteria are modern male characters. Higher education is available both domestically and internationally. It is a male character who is of school and working age. They lead a stable lifestyle and choose their own partner, which is in line with Pornpan Kanchanathiwat's (2012) modern man. Be self-reliant and live the life you want. Being a proud son with parents and leading a happy family life is something that happens in today's society. Because modern men have expectations of themselves and value themselves.

วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาสถานภาพและบทบาทตัวละครชายในนวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรีย ผู้วิจัยเลือกศึกษาวิเคราะห์ตัวละครเอก ที่มีลักษณะเด่นชัด โดยศึกษานวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรีย เขียนโดย แบคทีเรีย สำนักพิมพ์นาบู พับลิซซิ่ง ทั้งหมด 14 เรื่อง 17 เล่ม

ผลการศึกษาพบว่าสามารถจำแนกออกเป็น 2 ประเด็น คือ 1) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายในนวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรีย และ 2) สถานภาพและบทบาทตัวละครชายในนวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรีย ซึ่งกลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายในนวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรียจำแนกออกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ 1) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายในนวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรีย ได้แก่ 1.1) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายผ่านบุคลิกษณะ 1.2) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายผ่านวัฒนธรรมบริโภคนิยม และ 1.3) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายผ่านพื้นที่ และประเภทที่ 2) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายผ่านเพศวิถี ได้แก่ 2.1) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายผ่านเรือนร่าง 2.2) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายผ่านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างชายกับชาย และ 2.3) กลวิธีการสร้างตัวละครชายผ่านการแสดงออกทางเพศสัมพันธ์ และ 2) สถานภาพและบทบาทตัวละครชายในนวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรียจำแนกออกเป็น 2 ประเภท คือ 1) สถานภาพและบทบาทในครอบครัว ได้แก่ 1.1) สถานภาพและบทบาทของพ่อ 1.2) สถานภาพและบทบาทของสามี 1.3) สถานภาพและบทบาทของลูกขาย และ 1.4) สถานภาพและบทบาทของญาติผู้ใหญ่ และประเภทที่ 2) สถานภาพและบทบาทในสังคม ได้แก่ 2.1) สถานภาพและบทบาทด้านการศึกษา 2.2) สถานภาพและบทบาทด้านการประกอบอาชีพ

โดยสรุปได้ว่า ตัวละครชายในนวนิยายวายของแบคทีเรียเป็นตัวละครชายสมัยใหม่ มีการศึกษาที่สูงขึ้นทั้งในประเทศและต่างประเทศ เป็นตัวละครชายที่อยู่ในวัยเรียนและวัยทำงาน มีวุฒิภาวะทางความคิดเป็นผู้ใหญ่ มีการดำเนินชีวิตที่มั่นคง และเลือกคู่ครองด้วยตนเอง ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับผู้ชายสมัยใหม่ของ พรพรรณ กาญจนาธิวัฒน์ (2555) คือเป็นตัวของตัวเอง พึ่งพาตนเองและใช้ชีวิตในแบบที่ต้องการ เชื่อมั่นในการตัดสินใจและกล้าแสดงด้านความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเพศ เป็นลูกชายที่พ่อแม่ภูมิใจ และดำเนินชีวิตครอบครัวอย่างมีความสุข เป็นสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมปัจจุบัน เพราะผู้ชายสมัยใหม่มีความคาดหวังต่อตนเองและให้คุณค่าตนเอง
