Currently, pig farms in Thailand are expanding and spreading throughout all regions and shifting from an agricultural society to an industrial society. This expansion is driven by the increasing demand from consumers, both domestically and internationally, which requires more intensive and intensive pig farming operations. However, this has resulted in a significant increase in waste generation, particularly regarding wastewater. The farms need help in treating wastewater to the standards before discharge. Azolla, a floating fern, has gained significant attention due to its sustainable agricultural potential, ease of use, and low cost. The objective of this study is to investigate Azolla cultivation on secondary treated wastewater from three pig farms: the breeder farm (BR), the finisher farm (FS), and the biogas system of the finisher farm (Bio) serve as a nutrient source enhanced with effective microorganisms (EM) to improve efficiency. The analysis focuses on Azolla’s growth rate, biomass production, and nutrient uptake efficiency. Additionally, the study analyzes the quality of the wastewater, including parameters such as Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), Chemical oxygen demand (COD), Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium after the cultivation. The results showed that Azolla growth was better in the EM pre-treated wastewater compared with the untreated group. Azolla in the BREM, FSEM, and BioEM had doubling times of 5.32, 5.92, and 13.56 days, respectively. The relative growth rate (RGR) was 12.98, 10.00, and 2.70 g/day, respectively. Dry matter was 8.27, 9.43, and 7.47 %, respectively, and the ash content was 20.00, 24.30, and 27.60 %, respectively. Nutritional of Azolla showed the value of Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN), fat, fiber, calcium (Ca), potassium (K), and phosphorus (P) in standard levels. These values indicated that Azolla has the potential to be utilized in various agricultural applications in the future. Wastewater quality after Azolla cultivation decreased BOD 45-80%, COD 50-80%, TKN 30-90%, TP 40-80%, and TK 60-80%. The experimental results demonstrate that the use of Azolla can significantly improve the quality of wastewater. This study has significant implications for sustainable agriculture and wastewater management. Cultivating Azolla with wastewater from pig farms and treated EM is a good solution for reducing the environmental impact of wastewater discharge. Azolla biomass offers value for agricultural uses like supplementing animal feed or making organic fertilizer.en
